School life is interesting isn't it? We all have something or the other memories of our school time, ryt? I too have.
First I had been in a play school named 'Tiny tots' where I was taken by one of my neighbours who was the teacher of that play school. My mother says, I was just Of 2 years and that aunt would see me talking a lot and reciting poems very well in hindi bengali and English in such an young age, so getting impressed she got me admitted there. Then I stepped into my first school 'Hazra school' which was a government school. My span there was for 2 years, nursery and pre-nursery. Then I was shifted to 'Beachwood school' an ICSE boarded school, from where I started a new phase of my life. I was a very good and obedient student, I learnt speaking English in just 3 months in Kg-1, I was good in academics, sports, dancing, fashion shows, acting, drawing and at speaking skills also. My mother says that, I never troubed her for my academics or school life and I did not cry like other children every morning, for not going to the school, I managed everything by my own. My uncle's and aunt say that sometimes I used to ask them to help in my homeworks but if they could not answer my questions then and there, I would snatch my copy and tell "u don't know anything, I will do it myself". Nowadays on hearing, these seem funny to me and good also because I was confident enough to manage myself. I don't remember anything since the first day of my school life but I can recall from the day, when I cried for the first time in my school.
I was in standard II. One fine day, on one of my cousins birthday who was in the same school in standard III, I got a chocolate from him, it was sneaker the big bar. I cried my eye's out for losing that chocolate. My class teacher appeased me taking in her lap by promising that she would bring me the same chocolate the next day. And me, the pity soul got convinced hoping for that chocolate to be on my hand every next day which would never come.
That day, I learnt the first lesson in my life that, whatever I will have, I will not be showing it off to anyone, specially in case of any food item. In that session, I participated in lot of co-curricular activities. I took part in every dance program, I also participated in a fashion show where I remember, I stood first and got a book as a prize. I got my first medal in that class on the sports day. I remember, when I was in beachwood I studied to achieve the beautiful stamps of flowers or heart or any animal on my test papers. Our class teacher used to give us a print of stamp of beautiful pictures on our test papers for scoring good marks. I was very much fascinated about it.
I was a bit naughty too. I was a kind of snappish and I used my hands more rather than talking. I was like, if I started disliking someone he or she world be the most unfortunate person on the earth. I remember, there was a very new face in our class, Abdul Salam who didn't know to speak English. Once by mistake, his bag fell when I was passing by and suddenly he shouted "miss, mera basta gira di", and I bursted out of laughter. After that, what I did was, I intentionally threw his bag to just hear that one line and laugh. Now u can figure it out how naughty was I. It was really a very memorable session for me.
After standard II, I shifted to Delhi Public School. DPS talks are interesting too but I would like to share those in my some other blog as beachwood was just for 4 years(Kg-1, Kg-2, I and II) but DPS was for 8 years(3-10), the most crucial years for a student. This was just the beginning of my fun times in school.
